Her brother Leo reads it over her arm. He is five.
“Why is it cross with me?”
“It isn’t cross.”
“Mix. Wait.” He steps back from the card. “I haven’t done anything.”
Dad is at the sink. “It is bossy in Spanish too,” he says. “But Spanish tells you who it is bossing.”
The last line says No te las comas todavía.
Coco writes it out. Don’t eat them yet.
